FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ft Lauderdale, FL – November 2006 – East coast marketing and promotions company HGX Creative has been selected by La Ciudad del Nino La Chureca (The City of the Children of the Garbage; www.lachureca.org) as their agency of record. Under the agreement, HGX will provide Pro Bono marketing services, including professional collateral and web design, strategic consulting, publicity support and other services as needed to assist with the completion, continuation and promotion of the community center being built in Managua, Nicaragua.
La Chureca’s project manager, Guillermo Castillo, selected the Ft. Lauderdale marketing and communications company for its U.S. location as well as its award-winning design and marketing expertise and ongoing support of the aid missions to Nicaragua’s most poverty-stricken children. “Once I’d seen the plight of these kids I couldn’t come home to my ‘lucky life’ in the U.S. and do nothing,” says Debbie Nierman, founder and CEO of HGX Creative. “I will definitely be returning to help, but in the meantime I’m honored to have the trust of this mission to publicize their efforts and help raise funds that will not just improve lives but save them.”
HGX Creative believes wholeheartedly in giving back, both in our own country and internationally, and views the agreement with La Chureca as an opportunity to uplift humanity as a whole by helping the most helpless – children in a desperately poor country.
“The generous donations from one South Florida family have brought us half-way to completing the community center,” notes Dr. Edward Coopersmith, a doctor of pulmonary medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale who has led multiple missions to Nicaragua. “With the help of HGX Creative we hope to get the word out to the media, other families and individuals who might consider supporting our continued efforts to complete the center and get it operational.”
As a special project under Holy Cross Hospital’s Mission of Mercy, 100% of the donations received for La Chureca will be allocated to that fund. La Chureca hopes to raise the capital in time to complete the project in spring 2007.
